Ronald Teo Cheng Huat () is a highly accomplished hospitality and sports management professional with over three decades of experience spanning corporate leadership, community service, and specialized sports coaching. He currently serves as the Director of Swim & Sports at the Singapore Swimming Club, where he oversees the facilities, programmes, activities and events for more than 8,000 memberships and 14 committees. His tenure there has been marked by significant financial success, including saving the club approximately $3 million between 2022 and 2025 through effective departmental management.

Throughout his career, Ronald has held senior leadership roles at several of Singapore’s most prestigious clubs, including Orchid Country Club, Warren Golf & Country Club, and the Singapore Island Country Club. At Orchid Country Club, where he served as Head of Social & Recreation, he was credited with transforming the department into a “dynamic social and sports hub,” managing an annual operating budget of $3.5 million and organizing up to 150 events per year. His professional competencies are vast, covering corporate governance, change management, budget oversight, and project management, he was involved with the $25 million renovation project for the Island Swimming Pool & Gym.

Ronald’s academic and professional qualifications reflect a commitment to lifelong learning. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB) from Birmingham City University (2022) and a Diploma in Sports Management. He is also a certified trainer (ACTA), a professional coach, and a proficient emcee. His technical expertise in sports is extensive; he is an ASCA Level 3 certified swimming coach, a PADI Dive Master, and has served in various executive roles within the Club Managers’ Association Singapore (CMAS).

Beyond his professional life, Ronald is a distinguished grassroots leader, having volunteered in the Ang Mo Kio community since the 1980s. His dedication to social service is evidenced by his numerous appointments, including Chairman of the Kebun Baru Community Sports Club and member of the Citizens’ Consultative Committee. His community impact has been recognized at the highest levels, notably receiving the Prime Minister’s Community Initiatives Award in 2013 and multiple Long Service Awards from the People’s Association.

Ronald has also represented Singapore internationally, serving as a Youth Ambassador for the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) in 2000 and participating in Raleigh International expeditions to Belize and Batam to lead community service and scientific research projects.
